Terni Station & Bridge

Landmark 180m bridge facilitating Terni’s urban expansion, linking station improvements for fast trains to Rome and becoming a gateway marker for Umbrian tourism. The 60m inverted ‘tripod’ tower and pair of rings (‘halos’) support an asymmetric array of cable-stay spans. A further truss span allows future repositioning to release and connect more land, giving two bridges for the price of one.

A new triple-height clerestory atrium is sensitively integrated with the train station concourse improvements for 24 hour public realm access.
